The Mugello Circuit is ready to host one of the most anticipated events on the international endurance racing calendar: the Michelin 12H Mugello, the opening round of the Michelin 24H SERIES European Series, taking place this weekend at the Tuscan track.

A total of 30 cars have been confirmed for what promises to be an extremely competitive edition, featuring a high-quality field of contenders. Teams and drivers from across Europe and beyond are already arriving at Mugello to kick off the 2026 season.

Among the main favourites is reigning European Series Team Champion Proton Competition, fielding a Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO with a top-tier driver line-up including 2025 European Series Drivers’ Champions Manuel Lauck and Jörg Dreisow, joined by Constantin Dressler and Dennis Marschall.

There is also great anticipation for Herberth Motorsport, entering two Porsches: the No.269 driven by Max Moritz, Vincent Kolb and Robert Renauer, and the No.91 featuring Ralf Bohn, Rolf Ineichen and Alfred Renauer.

After securing a podium finish at Mugello last year, Era Motorsport returns to Tuscany with strong ambitions, entering the No.81 Ferrari 296 GT3 for Dwight Merriman, Oliver Bryant, Ryan Dalziel and Jake Hill.

Audi is also strongly represented, with Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport, HAAS RT and Sainteloc Junior Team all set to fight for top positions. Notably, Italian team MP Racing makes a welcome return on home soil with the No.58 Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO driven by the Gostner family.

Among the other Mercedes-AMG entries are HOFOR Racing with its family-based line-up, Viper Niza Racing, and Ajith RedAnt Racing, the latter featuring internationally renowned actor Ajith Kumar. Getspeed completes the line-up with two highly competitive cars.

The GT3 field is further strengthened by the Aston Martin of E2P Racing and the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO entered by ARC Bratislava.

992 class in the spotlight

Exciting action is also expected in the 992 class, reserved for Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, with Red Camel-Jordans.nl aiming to defend its 2025 Mugello victory.

RPM Racing and SebLajoux Racing emerge as key rivals, with the latter entering two cars. Mühlner Motorsport is also present, while HRT Performance fields three Porsches, making it one of the most represented teams on the grid.

Italian representation is also strong in this category with The Driving Experiences, while Chazel Technologie Course completes a highly competitive field.

Battles across the other classes

In the GTX class, attention will be on Vortex V8 as it faces competition from Italian teams Dinamic Motorsport, entering a Maserati MC20 GT2, and PB Racing with a Lotus Exige V6 Cup R.

In TCE-TCX, Not Only Motorsport will represent Italy with a Ligier JS2 R, while asBest Racing fields the SEAT Leon Cup Racer.

Track activity has already begun with track days, but the programme will intensify on Friday with free practice and qualifying.

The race will get underway on Saturday with the first part of the Michelin 12H Mugello (5 hours and 30 minutes), with the conclusion scheduled for Sunday.
