This year the 24H SERIES will make a stop at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello in Italy for the first time. The inaugural Dunlop 12H ITALY-MUGELLO will be held on March 14 and 15 with over 40 teams announcing their participation
The fascinating circuit in Mugello in the rolling hills of Tuscany is a state-of-the-art facility with a length of 5.245 km, plenty of undulation, challenging corners and numerous opportunities for overtaking. The circuit is property of Ferrari, who uses the circuit for Formula 1 tests. Furthermore, the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello is venue for several national and international racing events, one being the well-known MotoGP.
The winning team of the Dunlop 24H Dubai 2014, Stadler Motorsport competing with their Porsche 911 GT3 R, and Hofor Racing the winners of the 24H BARCELONA 2013, running a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, have already announced their participation at the Dunlop 12H ITALY-MUGELLO. Moreover, the usual touring car categories provide plenty of variety with teams running BMW, SEAT, Volkswagen, Renault, Mazda and Mini. Furthermore, eight different teams in the Porsche Cup category are on the entry list. Of course, Italian sport cars like the Ferrari 458 GT3 and the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 will be competing in Mugello as well.
Also the Italian racing teams MM Motorsport with their Seat Leon TDI Berlina, and NOVA Race, who will compete with three Ginetta G50’s, have subscribed for participating at the Dunlop 12H ITALY-MUGELLO.
rack action starts on Friday, March 14, with free practice from 9.30 till 10.45 hrs and qualifying from 11.00 till 12.30 hrs. The first part of the race will be held on Friday from 14.00 till 17.00 hrs, after which parc fermé rules apply. The race resumes on Saturday, March 15, at 9.30 hrs and continues until 18.30 hrs, immediately followed by the prize-giving ceremony.
